The Parbat-Baglung section of the mid-hill highway has been obstructed

The Parbat-Baglung of the mid-hill highway has been closed due to landslides caused by heavy rain. Since last night, landslides at Sahasradhara in Kusma municipality’s Ward No. 1 obstructed the road section.

Though machines and security personnel are on standby to clear the debris and reopen the road, the continuous rain has made it difficult to act quickly, according to Parbat Krishna Khadka, chief of the Traffic Office.

As a result, that had left Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang for various destinations are stranded in Maldhunga on the highway, along their passengers.
