Covid-19 tally: 3,108 new cases, 1,595 recoveries, 25 deaths in 24 hours

The has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 721,617 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry 3,108 new were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 8,836 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 2,202 returned positive. Likewise, 4,299 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 906 tested positive.

Of total tests, 24.92 cent of the PCR and 21.07 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 26.66 per cent.

As of today, there are 26,419 active cases across the country. Of them, 2,585 are hospitalised, 592 in intensive care units and 172 on ventilators.
