Kathmandu, July 10

The Ministry of Health Population has informed the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 697,257 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry 2,169 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this , 6,530 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 1,353 returned positive. Likewise, 3,887 people underwent antigen tests the virus, of which an additional 816 tested positive.

Of total tests, 20.71 cent of the PCR and 20.99 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 20.82 per cent.

As of today, there are 26,489 active cases across the country. Of them, 2,950 are hospitalised, 543 in intensive care units and 155 on ventilators.
